Marston House Balboa Park San Diego
Designed by master architect irving Gill, and one of California's finest examples of the Arts and Crafts movement, the magnificent Marston House and estate was constructed in 1905 for George W. Marston and his wife, Anna Gunn Marston, the visionary family who in this fine house conceived the World famous Pan Pacific Exposition in San Diego which now house many of the city’s major museums and Cultural Institutions. The home and it’s gardens became a house museum in 1987 after the Marston family gifted it to the City of San Diego for the enjoyment of the public and is now part of Balboa Park.
