Day At the Office, Portrait of Allie, Calico Cat
Contemporary cat art. Day At the Office, Portrait of Allie, Calico Cat" by artist Randy RD Riccoboni. Painted in the impressionist style. To order an original portrait of your pet, please contact the artist at director@rdriccoboni.com A calico cat is not a breed of cat, it is a color pattern. To be called "calico", three colors must be present: black, white and orange. Variations of these colors include gray, cream and ginger. A "true" calico cat has large blocks of these three colors, a "tortoise shell" or "tortie" cat has a mix of these three colors (blended/swirled together more than distinct blocks of color). RD. (Randy) Riccoboni is an innovative American-born painter (California, 1960), influenced by his early years living in the suburbs of New York City.  A self-taught artist, he credits encouragement by family and teachers for his drive and inspiration.

Riccoboni’s paintings on canvas and paper depict his travels and local interest. Subjects include California landscape, cityscape, portraiture, street-scenes, public events, and everyday happenings and friends. His palette is derived from the bold colors of the original rainbow flag. Colors that represent, sexuality, healing, sunshine, nature, art, harmony, and spirit. Riccoboni’s internationally recognized work represents community, a sense of place in a positive and life affirming manner. Color is the first thing you notice about my work. What makes it pop is the placement of color and texture.
