The birthplace of California - Old Town, San Diego is featured at the gallery, as well as the first mission and colonial building in the western United States, Mission San Diego De Alcala. The gallery takes you on a colorful tour through art of America’s finest city, San Diego, with paintings by one of America’s favorite artists, RD Riccoboni. I love and appreciate both new and old San Diego, along with the California history that surrounds these settings. I first went out in search of old homes to paint, and soon realized there was so much more beauty in the overall experience of the city. I go out in search of special places around San Diego County and recreate in art a mix of everyday activity in neighborhood street scenes, all in bold color.
