Point Loma Sunset Cliffs San Diego by Riccoboni
Point Loma Sunset Cliffs San Diego California by Randy RD Riccoboni. Acrylic painting. Sunset Cliffs Natural Park is a 68-acre resource based park stretching along the Pacific Ocean bordering the western edge of Point Loma in San Diego. The 18-acre linear section of the park lies to the west of Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Like La Jolla, and Coronado, Point Loma was a favorite area of the early California impressionist artists, I also enjoy painting there and watching the sea and colors change in the light. The Park's topography includes intricately carved coastal bluffs, arches and sea caves. It affords inspiring panoramic ocean views. Beacon Artworks Gallery, shows the San Diego paintings by California artist RD Riccoboni. These art pieces tell the story of San Diego from Old Town to today, created in bold color. The birthplace of California - Old Town, San Diego is featured at the gallery, as well as the first mission and colonial building in the western United States, Mission San Diego De Alcala. Visit the Spanish Colonial fantasy of Balboa Park, the historic Gaslamp district, Little Italy, Point Loma, La Jolla and Coronado Island. The gallery takes you on a colorful tour through art of America’s finest city, San Diego, with paintings by one of America’s favorite artists, RD Riccoboni. I love and appreciate both new and old San Diego, along with the California history that surrounds these settings. I first went out in search of old homes to paint, and soon realized there was so much more beauty in the overall experience of the city. I go out in search of special places around San Diego County and recreate in art a mix of everyday activity in neighborhood street scenes, all in bold color. In this publication is a selection of my favorite paintings from this group, dating from 2005 to today.
