It was built in 1889 in the Queen Ann style a year after the famous Hotel del Coronado across the bay. This graceful and colorful residence was constructed and home of Harfield Timberlake Christian, an early San Diego businessman. it's original location was near downtown and it was moved to it's present location in the 1970's.
