Should ‘a Worn The Pink - The Folsom Street Festival. This whimsical painting takes place in San Francisco at the Folsom Street Fair. Here we see a bunch of leather men hanging out, cruising and carousing meanwhile a drag queen in the background distracted by a person in pink that perhaps we do not even know the gender of. It doesn't matter because the festival is all about pageantry and working the crowd. Hence the dilemma of always wearing the right apparel. Perhaps the artist heard the drag queen say: Maybe I should have worn the pink? I like to have fun with my paintings and make all sorts of different social commentary. To the viewer it may mean something completely different. Does it really matter as long as it brings emotion in?
